These students were selected by our teachers for demonstrating the qualities we value at Gore — hard work, kindness, responsibility, and leadership. Help us congratulate Jordyn Davenport (6th grader) and Damen Knighten (7th grader).

Jordyn said her favorite class is Mrs. Kinion’s math class because she helps her understand math better and is nice to everyone. However, she said she admires ALL of her teachers because they all are good at teaching. One goal she has for her future is to go to college to become a 1st grade teacher.

Damen said his favorite class is athletics because he gets to play football and spend time with his dad and friends. When asked who he admires, he said his dad because he pushes Damen to be the best person he can be. In the future, he hopes to become a football coach just like his dad.

The HS and JH Cross Country teams ran at Muldrow today. Taylor Kinion finished 3rd in the HS girls division and Bryson Franco finished 6th in JH boys division. Congrats to not only these 2 for medaling, but to all of our kids that ran today! Their next meet is Tuesday at Spiro. Allow 48-72 hours for a response. All alumni panels from 1949 - 2018 are now displayed in the high school lobby. Newer panels are located in our event center.

🌱🍃 Farm to Table at Gore Elementary! 🍃🌱 On Friday, our students enjoyed a hands-on Ag in the Classroom experience! Using fresh basil from our school garden, Mrs. Ronda Menie and our wonderful Cafeteria ladies joined Mrs. Tammie and Mrs. Pugh to make homemade Basil Pesto. 🌿 The best part? The kids got to taste what they made! 😋💚 What a fun way to learn where our food comes from and try something new! We love growing, learning, and tasting the fruits of our labor! 🌿👩‍🌾👨‍🌾🏴‍☠️

Huge thank you to Justin Ohl and Troy Kinion for taking the time to speak to our students this morning for FAST Friday! Mr. Ohl spoke with our middle school students about the superpower of servanthood, while Mr. Kinion challenged our high school students to focus on wise decision-making and planning for success. We are so grateful for both of you and the positive impact you made on our students. Thank you for investing your time, sharing your wisdom, and helping our Pirates grow into successful young adults.
