Thursday our HS Track team competed at Inola. Despite the wind, we had 17 Top 15s, a lot of Season Bests, and even more Personal Bests. Devon Mannon, Zac Comer, Alevia Reasnor, Weston Cunningham, Nick Eklund, and Cain Copper finished in the top 15 in every event they competed in! Alevia, Nick, and Sophie O’Connor also set Personal Bests in every one of their events. 🎶Yesterday Bailey Pack and Clayton White traveled to Stillwater to perform their solos at the OSSAA State Solo and Ensemble competition. Both students received the superior ratings on their solos! We are incredibly proud of our high school band members, GO PIRATES! 🏴‍☠️

Tuesday, our HS Track team traveled to Vinita to compete against a field of 33 teams, 30 of them larger schools. Against 32 competitors, Weston Cunningham ran a Season Best time of 15.83 to medal in the 110 hurdles with a 3rd place finish. Zac Comer also medaled with a 3rd place finish, out of 77 competitors, in the Discus with a throw of 150’7”. Devon Mannon finished in the top 15 in all 3 of his events. Both Relay teams also finished in the top 15. Mylee Bruce ran a Personal Best time in her 300 Hurdles. The senior trip to Branson, Missouri was a success. The kids had a great time, and lots of great memories were made.

The HS track team competed Friday at Coweta against a field of 21 teams, all in classes 3A-6A except us. Zac Comer medaled in the Discus by placing 3rd in the HS division. Alevia Reasnor dominated the 9th grade division in the Shot and Disc, winning both events and setting new PBs in both.  Against that level of competition, our kids stepped up and set a lot of Personal Bests, Season Bests, and 11 top 15s!
